Description
A creamy and comforting pasta dish that’s quick to prepare and loaded with flavor. Perfect for busy weeknights and family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces pasta (penne, rotini, or shells)
- 1 pound cooked, shredded chicken breast
- 1 packet ranch seasoning (about 1 ounce)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium. Add shredded chicken, ranch seasoning, cream cheese, and chicken broth. Stir frequently as the cream cheese melts, about 3–5 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss gently so the sauce coats each piece. If the sauce seems too thick, stir in broth until you reach desired consistency.
- Sprinkle in shredded cheddar and crumbled bacon. Stir just until the cheddar melts and everything is evenly combined. Remove from heat.
- Transfer to bowls and top with chopped green onions. Serve immediately.
Notes
Swap chicken broth for milk plus a splash of stock for a milder sauce. Add Greek yogurt off heat for a lighter finish. Fold in baby spinach for added greens.
