- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups pretzel crumbs
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Set up the breading station with flour, beaten eggs mixed with milk, and pretzel crumbs.
- Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg mixture, then coat with pretzel crumbs.
- Fry the chicken in oil for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Prepare the mustard-cheddar sauce by melting cheese and mustard over low heat until smooth.
- Serve the pretzel chicken topped with the mustard-cheddar sauce.
