- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup water
- 8–10 hoagie rolls
- Sliced provolone cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Season the beef: Generously sprinkle salt and pepper on the beef chuck roast.
- Prepare the broth: In a bowl, combine the onion soup mix, beef broth, and water.
- Combine in the crockpot: Place the seasoned roast in the crockpot and pour the broth mixture over it.
- Set the timer: Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours.
- Shred the beef: Remove the roast and shred it using two forks, then mix it back into the juices.
- Assemble the sandwiches: Fill hoagie rolls with shredded beef and top with provolone cheese.
- Serve: Ladle some au jus into small bowls for dipping.
