  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp ground cloves (optional)
  • Maraschino cherries (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Score the Ham: Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, about ¼ inch deep.
  3. Mix the Glaze: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, ½ cup pineapple juice, honey (or maple syrup), Dijon mustard, and ground cloves.
  4. Brush & Bake: Place the ham cut side down in a large roasting pan. Brush half of the glaze over the surface and cover loosely with foil. Bake for 1 hour.
  5. Add Pineapple: Remove the foil and arrange the pineapple slices over the ham, securing them with toothpicks if desired.
  6. Glaze Again: Brush the remaining glaze over the ham and pineapple slices.
  7. Finish Baking: Return the ham to the oven uncovered for an additional 30 minutes, basting once more.
  8. Serve: Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Use a meat thermometer to ensure the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C) before serving.
