  • 34 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cups chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar together until well combined.
  4. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Stir in the mashed bananas until well combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. If desired, fold in the nuts or chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and flatten the top slightly.
  9. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
