Description
A moist and delectable banana bread made from ripe bananas, perfect for breakfast or as a comforting snack.
Ingredients

- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 3–4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 0.5 cups chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar together until well combined.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly.
- Stir in the mashed bananas until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- If desired, fold in the nuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and flatten the top slightly.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Serve warm with butter or honey; banana bread can be frozen for up to 2-3 months.
