Description

Delicious egg rolls filled with smoked brisket, cream cheese, and jalapeños, drizzled with honey for a sweet finish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked brisket, chopped
  • 1/2 cup jalapeños, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Oil for frying
  • Honey for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chopped brisket, diced jalapeños, and green onions in a mixing bowl. Stir until well blended.
  2. Prepare egg roll wrappers by placing about 2 tablespoons of the filling in the center.
  3. Fold the bottom edge of the wrapper up over the filling. Next, fold the sides in tightly before rolling it all the way up. Seal the edge with a bit of water.
  4. Heat oil in a large, deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry a couple of egg rolls until they’re golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the fried rolls and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  7. Drizzle warm honey over egg rolls before serving.

Notes

For a twist, consider using other proteins or adding vegetables to the filling. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
