Description
Delicious egg rolls filled with smoked brisket, cream cheese, and jalapeños, drizzled with honey for a sweet finish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 egg roll wrappers
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cooked brisket, chopped
- 1/2 cup jalapeños, diced
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- Oil for frying
- Honey for drizzling
Instructions
- Combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chopped brisket, diced jalapeños, and green onions in a mixing bowl. Stir until well blended.
- Prepare egg roll wrappers by placing about 2 tablespoons of the filling in the center.
- Fold the bottom edge of the wrapper up over the filling. Next, fold the sides in tightly before rolling it all the way up. Seal the edge with a bit of water.
- Heat oil in a large, deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry a couple of egg rolls until they’re golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the fried rolls and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Drizzle warm honey over egg rolls before serving.
Notes
For a twist, consider using other proteins or adding vegetables to the filling. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
