Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples (like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- Cooking spray or oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar. Whisk until they’re evenly blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients, stirring gently until just mixed (don’t overmix!).
- Fold in the diced apples, ensuring they’re well distributed in the batter.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Using a spoon, scoop small portions of the batter into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each fritter.
- Lightly spray the batter with cooking spray or brush with oil for extra crispiness.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through to achieve a golden color.
- Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar.
Notes
For a twist, try whole wheat flour or add a splash of vanilla or nutmeg.
