- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer in the prepared dish and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the sour cream, 1/2 cup Parmesan, cornstarch, oregano, garlic powder, and additional salt and pepper until smooth.
- Place a slice of mozzarella on top of each chicken breast.
- Spoon the sour cream mixture evenly over the chicken breasts, smoothing it out with the back of a spoon.
- Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan over the top.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is golden and bubbly. (Check thin breasts at 40-45 minutes.)
- Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.

For a flavor boost, consider pairing with spicy seasonings or serving with rice or mashed potatoes to soak up the sauce.
