Smashburger Quesadillas combine the best flavors of a classic burger and a beloved Mexican dish into a crispy and satisfying meal.
Ingredients

- 2 large tortillas
- 1 cup cooked ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup pickles
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of cooking oil.
- Place one tortilla in the skillet, then sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
- Add the cooked ground beef, diced onions, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, and mustard on top of the cheese.
- Layer the remaining cheese and carefully place the second tortilla on top.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom tortilla is golden and crispy.
- Flip carefully and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from the skillet and let the quesadilla cool for about a minute before slicing it into wedges.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch or salsa.
Notes
For a lighter version, switch the ground beef for grilled chicken or turkey. Consider adding sautéed mushrooms or jalapeños for extra flavor.
