Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sausage (any variety)
- 1 small head of cabbage, chopped

- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the sausage and cook, turning occasionally, until well browned and cooked through (about 6–8 minutes).
- Push the sausage to the side and add the sliced onion. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until it begins to soften.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the chopped cabbage and pour the soy sauce over the top. Stir to combine.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5–10 minutes until the cabbage reaches your desired tenderness.
- Taste and season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
Notes
For a lower-sodium version, reduce soy sauce and add a squeeze of lemon at the end. Serve over rice or in crusty rolls.
