- 1 ½ cups milk (or almond milk for a dairy-free option)
- 1 large apple, diced (Granny Smith recommended)
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease your baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Add in the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
- Gently stir in the diced apples and any nuts if using.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden and the center is set.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
