A delightful fusion of pizza and grilled cheese that combines gooey cheese, tangy pizza sauce, savory Canadian bacon, and sweet pineapple.

- 4 slices sourdough or white bread
- Butter (for spreading on bread)
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce (more or less, to taste)
- 4 slices Canadian bacon
- 4 pineapple rings (canned or fresh, patted dry)
- 4 slices Cheddar cheese (or your favorite melting cheese)
Instructions
- Butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
- Pat dry the pineapple rings to avoid excess moisture.
- Preheat a griddle or skillet over medium heat.
- Place one slice of bread, butter side down, on the skillet.
- Spread 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on the unbuttered side.
- Layer with 2 slices of Canadian bacon, 2 pineapple rings, and 2 slices of cheese.
- Top with another slice of bread, this time buttered side up.
- Cook for 3–4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown.
- Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 3–4 minutes, ensuring the cheese melts and both sides are toasty.
- Remove from the skillet, allow to cool slightly, and cut in half before serving.
Notes
Pair with sweet potato fries or a salad. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
