Description

A delightful fusion of pizza and grilled cheese that combines gooey cheese, tangy pizza sauce, savory Canadian bacon, and sweet pineapple.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices sourdough or white bread
  • Butter (for spreading on bread)
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce (more or less, to taste)
  • 4 slices Canadian bacon
  • 4 pineapple rings (canned or fresh, patted dry)
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese (or your favorite melting cheese)

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
  2. Pat dry the pineapple rings to avoid excess moisture.
  3. Preheat a griddle or skillet over medium heat.
  4. Place one slice of bread, butter side down, on the skillet.
  5. Spread 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on the unbuttered side.
  6. Layer with 2 slices of Canadian bacon, 2 pineapple rings, and 2 slices of cheese.
  7. Top with another slice of bread, this time buttered side up.
  8. Cook for 3–4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown.
  9. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 3–4 minutes, ensuring the cheese melts and both sides are toasty.
  10. Remove from the skillet, allow to cool slightly, and cut in half before serving.

Notes

Pair with sweet potato fries or a salad. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
