Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or New York strip), cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 medium zucchini, sliced into half-moons
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnishing
Instructions
- Dry and season the steak: Pat the steak bites dry using paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat the skillet: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil and let it heat up.
- Sear the steak bites: Add the steak bites in a single layer, sear for 1-2 minutes per side until browned. Remove from skillet.
- Make the garlic butter: In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the zucchini: Sauté sliced zucchini for 3-5 minutes until just tender but still crisp.
- Combine and serve: Return steak bites to skillet, toss with garlic butter, and heat through. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
For a twist, you can swap the steak for chicken or shrimp, and experiment with other veggies like bell peppers or asparagus.
