Description
Tender roast beef, melty Swiss, and a savory au jus poured over soft slider buns make these French Dip Sliders a crowd-pleasing dish perfect for weeknight dinners or game days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 slider buns (brioche or soft dinner rolls)
- 12–16 oz roast beef (thinly sliced)
- 1–1½ cups caramelized onions
- 6–12 slices Swiss cheese (torn to fit)
- 2 cups beef broth (low-sodium)
- 2–3 tablespoons prepared horseradish sauce
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the slider buns in half and arrange the bottom halves snugly in a baking dish.
- Layer the bottom buns with slices of roast beef and spoon on the caramelized onions.
- Tear or fold Swiss cheese over the beef so each slider gets a good melt.
- Cap each assembled slider with the top half of the buns.
- In a small saucepan, warm the beef broth over medium heat. Stir in horseradish sauce, then season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat once hot and aromatic.
- Pour the warm broth mixture evenly over the sliders so it soaks into the buns and pools a bit for dipping.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake for 15–20 minutes, until everything is heated through and the cheese has melted.
- Remove the foil and bake uncovered for about 5 minutes to crisp the tops and brown the cheese slightly.
- Serve warm with extra broth for dipping on the side.
Notes
For a milder dip, replace horseradish sauce with Dijon mustard or a horseradish mixed with sour cream. If you prefer a different cheese, provolone or cheddar can be used.
