Description

Tender roast beef, melty Swiss, and a savory au jus poured over soft slider buns make these French Dip Sliders a crowd-pleasing dish perfect for weeknight dinners or game days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns (brioche or soft dinner rolls)
  • 1216 oz roast beef (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cups caramelized onions
  • 612 slices Swiss cheese (torn to fit)
  • 2 cups beef broth (low-sodium)
  • 23 tablespoons prepared horseradish sauce
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the slider buns in half and arrange the bottom halves snugly in a baking dish.
  3. Layer the bottom buns with slices of roast beef and spoon on the caramelized onions.
  4. Tear or fold Swiss cheese over the beef so each slider gets a good melt.
  5. Cap each assembled slider with the top half of the buns.
  6. In a small saucepan, warm the beef broth over medium heat. Stir in horseradish sauce, then season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat once hot and aromatic.
  7. Pour the warm broth mixture evenly over the sliders so it soaks into the buns and pools a bit for dipping.
  8. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake for 15–20 minutes, until everything is heated through and the cheese has melted.
  9. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for about 5 minutes to crisp the tops and brown the cheese slightly.
  10. Serve warm with extra broth for dipping on the side.

Notes

For a milder dip, replace horseradish sauce with Dijon mustard or a horseradish mixed with sour cream. If you prefer a different cheese, provolone or cheddar can be used.
