- 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg (beaten)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until just incorporated.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir gently.
- Gradually add the flour, folding until just combined (the batter should remain slightly lumpy).
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
For a healthier twist, substitute half the all-purpose flour with oats or use brown sugar instead of white.
