- 8 oz egg noodles
- 12 oz flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, sliced
- To taste: salt
- To taste: pepper
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Once done, drain them and set aside.
- Prepare the beef by tossing the thinly sliced flank steak with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Fry the beef in batches over medium-high heat in vegetable oil until golden brown, then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
- Sauté minced ginger and garlic in the same pan for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir-fry the broccoli florets until bright green and tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
- Combine the crispy beef with the broccoli, cooked noodles, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Toss until heated through.
- Finish by drizzling with sesame oil, adding sliced green onions, and seasoning with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
Notes
Serve in shallow bowls and consider adding sesame seeds for garnish. Great with a light cucumber salad or steamed dumplings on the side.
