  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil salted water and cook pasta until al dente then drain
  2. 2. Season chicken with salt pepper and paprika
  3. 3. Heat oil in skillet and cook chicken until golden and cooked through then remove
  4. 4. Melt butter in same pan and sauté garlic until fragrant
  5. 5. Stir in Dijon mustard lemon juice and red pepper flakes
  6. 6. Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently
  7. 7. Add mozzarella and Parmesan and stir until melted
  8. 8. Return chicken and pasta to skillet and toss to coat
  9. 9. Add pasta water if needed to loosen sauce
  10. 10. Garnish with parsley and serve hot

  • Use freshly grated cheese for best melting
  • Do not overcook chicken to keep it juicy
  • Reserve pasta water for adjusting sauce consistency
