- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 2 cups orzo pasta
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Sauté the chicken: In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken seasoned with Cajun spices, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes.
- Add the orzo and broth: Pour in the orzo and chicken broth. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer. Stir occasionally until the orzo is tender, around 10 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until it’s creamy and well combined.
- Finish with chopped parsley for a burst of color and fresh flavor before serving.
Notes
Feel free to customize with shrimp or sausage. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice can enhance the flavors.
