- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and mashed bananas until well blended.
- Stir in the baking soda and pinch of salt. Mix it in thoroughly.
- Add sugar, followed by the beaten egg and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
- Gradually incorporate the flour into the mixture and then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool for a while before removing it from the pan.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and moisture. Don’t overmix the batter to keep it light and fluffy.
