Description

A delightful and easy-to-make banana bread filled with chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and mashed bananas until well blended.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and pinch of salt. Mix it in thoroughly.
  4. Add sugar, followed by the beaten egg and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate the flour into the mixture and then fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool for a while before removing it from the pan.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and moisture. Don’t overmix the batter to keep it light and fluffy.
