- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth, then incorporate the melted butter.
- Stir in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
- Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until everything is well blended.
- Gently fold in the flour until just combined. Then add the chocolate chips, stirring them in lightly.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan, using a spatula to spread it evenly.
- Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
Notes
Make sure your bananas are very ripe; they should have brown spots for the best sweetness and flavor.
