- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup nut butter (like peanut or almond)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional: chocolate chips or nuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, honey (or maple syrup), nut butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until thoroughly blended.
- Stir in the rolled oats and cinnamon, ensuring everything is well combined. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let the bars cool in the dish before cutting into squares. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature. Freeze individually wrapped bars for up to three months.
