Description
These Banana Bread Brownies combine the best of banana bread and brownies, offering a rich, chocolaty treat that’s perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan by greasing and lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas, then whisk in the melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated.
- Stir in the milk and, if desired, the chocolate chips for that extra layer of chocolate goodness.
- Spread the batter evenly in your prepared baking pan.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle this over the brownie batter. Dot with small pieces of butter for extra richness.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let it cool for about 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice into squares and enjoy!
