- 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into small ½-inch cubes
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Sliced green onions (for garnish)
- Chopped fresh parsley or cilantro (for garnish)
- Chopped peanuts (for garnish)
- Lime wedges (to squeeze over chicken)
- Sriracha (optional drizzle for added heat)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
- Season the chicken cubes with salt and black pepper. Add them to the hot oil and cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic and stir for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the honey and soy sauce, and add the red pepper flakes if using. Stir and let the sauce bubble and thicken for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat once the sauce coats the chicken.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions, chopped herbs, peanuts, and lime wedges.
Notes
Make sure to prep everything beforehand to save time. You can also use roasted garlic for a deeper flavor.
